The Suicide Prevention and Resilience Research Centre is a leading research facility embedded within the University of Western Australia. Our mission is to improve the impact of suicide prevention research by establishing a strong, innovative, multidisciplinary network of researchers dedicated to understanding, preventing, and addressing the complexities of suicide.
Our Research Priorities
Our ultimate goal at SPARRC is to prevent all suicides. However, to address areas where we believe significant gaps exist we have established four priority areas:

Sean is a practicing psychiatrist with a strong passion for research aimed at advancing our understanding and treatment of mental health challenges

Dr Michael Kyron
Interim Director
Michael is an early-mid career researcher that has worked with SPARRC since its beginnings. His research has primarily focused on how we can predict who may be at-risk of suicide and targeting resources in-line with a precision medicine approach.
